The House where I was Born

Song for voice and piano

Written in 2018 for mezzo-soprano/alto and piano, The House Where I was Born is set to Charlotte Bronte’s poem Regret.  The words, filled with regret and nostalgia, tell of the author’s unhappy journey through life and her search for happiness.   The piano accompaniment, which is very light throughout the work,  could be substituted by a harp or guitar.
